We began our FREE PLANT LIBRARY during the summer of 2025, following our ANNUAL PLANT EXCHANGE. We have a stand located right on Main St, near the corner of Delaware Ave in front of the YELLOW BUILDING, where we can all share some plants with our neighbors. People have brought Dahlia Tubers, Perennials, and Houseplants to the stand. Everything gets re-homed rather quickly! We do have a few guidelines to keep from spreading aggressive and / or invasive plants, jumping worms, and for keeping our stand tidy.
NO EMPTY POTS!! Please do not leave empty pots -- feel free to take empty pots if needed (Lowe's recycles nursery pots, the local waste facility didn't have a buyer for this type of plastic the last time we checked).
NO AGGRESSIVE SPREADERS!! Please do not bring plants that might be overly aggressive (bamboo, ditch lily, forget-me-nots, anything that might have bishop's weed or knotweed growing within the roots, multiflora roses, burning bush).
NO HITCHHIKERS!! Please be sure you are not transporting any invasive pests, such as jumping worms if you can help it.
PLANT SWAPS!! Plants are donated to the stand on a rolling basis. The bulk of the donations are generally following our plant exchanges. Be sure to take what you need, and share what you can. Check our calendar of events to attend the plant swaps!
OPTIONAL -- if you appreciate a plant, want more information about where it came from, or want to show off your plant in its new home, share a note!
